The final tournament of the Montenegrin Cup for men's and women's basketball will be played from February 12th to 14th in Bijelo Polje, the Basketball Association announced.
The contract on the organization of the final tournament of the Montenegro Cup was signed by the Secretary General of the Basketball Association Darko Ivanović, the President of KK Jedinstvo Meridianbet Hasan Ramović and the President of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje Petar Smolović.
Eight teams will compete in the men's competition, and four in the women's competition.
On the first day of the tournament, quarterfinal matches will be played in the basketball competition, while the second day will feature semifinal duels.
The finals in both competitions are on February 14th.
In basketball, three teams from the ABA League will compete - Budućnost Voli, SC Derbi and Mornar, the four best teams from the First A League, while the last participant in the final tournament will be decided by a playoff match between the fifth-placed team from the First A League and the first-placed team from the First B League.
On the other hand, the senior women's team will feature the four best first-league players, and the date of the draw will be determined at a later date.
Last year, the trophy in the men's competition went to SC Derby, which defeated Buducnost Voli 81:80 in the final, while in the women's competition, Buducnost Bemax continued its dominance with a triumph over Podgorica (83:59).
In addition to exciting games, panel discussions with famous basketball players and coaches will be organized, as well as prize games for the audience.
