Ahead of the match with Partizan, SC Derby said that they want this match to serve as a stepping stone for them, and that one of their goals is to leave a good impression in the "Belgrade Arena".
And it seems that the "students" succeeded in doing so - they did not disappoint, even though they were defeated by the "black and whites" 19:95 in the 80th round of the AdmiralBet ABA League.
After an 8:0 run, which was concluded by Zoran Nikolić with free throws, SC Derbi led 19:9, and after Luka Bogavac's three-pointer at the end of the first quarter, they had a maximum 11-point advantage - 22:11.
At the end of the first and beginning of the second quarter, Partizan came close to minus two (25:23) with six consecutive points, but the advantage was on the side of the Podgorica team until the second part of the second quarter, when Washington hit both free throws for 32:31.
The finish of the first half belonged to Partizan - the "black and whites" made a 9:0 run and gained a double-digit lead for the first time - 45:34.
From then on, Partizan was in control, and SC Derbi tried to threaten on several occasions. The "students" came close in the second half to minus two (48:46), after which Partizan went to 59:49, controlled the match, and at the finish had a maximum 18-point advantage - 95:77.
The most efficient player for SC Derby was Luka Bogavac, who had 24 points, which is his best game of the season. Zoran Nikolić finished the match with 16 points.
For Partizan, Dwayne Washington was the most efficient with 21 points. Balša Koprivica had 13 and Karlik Jones 12 points.
