Derby Crevna zvezda - Buducnost Voli, tomorrow at 20 pm in the "Aleksandar Nikolić" hall, closes the 20th round of the AdmiralBet ABA League.
It closes the round, but opens up the possibility for the "blues" to "break away" from the fantastic "red-and-whites" team in the standings with a victory, and gain home-court advantage in the eventual playoffs.
"We will do everything to prepare ourselves as much as possible for the opponent. We know who we are playing against, it is a Euroleague team with a wide roster and great individual quality. Red Star has been playing great as a team lately, coming into the derby from the double round in the Euroleague in which they achieved two triumphs and it will certainly be difficult," said Buducnost coach Andrej Žakelj.
Red Star won the first match of the season in the regional league in Podgorica with a score of 75:73. However, a look at the table shows that the "blues" have won more in the 19 rounds played.
"We want to make it difficult for Red Star, but we're far from going to Belgrade to just play a good game - we have our own goals and we'll try to surprise them," says the Slovenian.
Budućnost believe that their advantage is that they will be more rested in the derby, and that is why they will try to "introduce" the game into a fast and exhausting rhythm from the first second.
"Another very important game for us. We are playing against a rival who is in great rhythm in all competitions, and it is up to us to prepare as well as possible and to enter the derby motivated in which we want to triumph," said Budućnost basketball player Đorđije Jovanović.
