The Buducnost Voli basketball team continued their great performances this season, defeating Red Star Belgrade last night (96:89) and sending a clear message that they want the title in the regional competition this season.
After defeating Partizan in the "Belgrade Arena" (97:90) in mid-December, the "blues" defeated another Euroleague team last night in the "Aleksandar Nikolić" hall and achieved their 11th consecutive victory in the AdmiralBet ABA League. The game in Belgrade was played to the tune of Buducnost, and the Montenegrin champion's performance did not go unnoticed.
This is how last night's game was commented on by the coach of the Brazilian national basketball team, Aleksandar Petrović, who praised Andrej Žakelj's team and highlighted the greatest strength of the Montenegrin champion.
"Budučnost took down both Euroleague teams in Belgrade, and showed that they have that 'X factor' in the individual quality of almost all of their outfield players, without jeopardizing the team's collective spirit. The cooperation between Kamenjaš and Tanasković is also impressive," wrote Petrović.
This week, Buducnost will have obligations in the Montenegrin Cup, as well as a quarterfinal match against Primorje, which is scheduled for tomorrow (15:30) in Bijelo Polje. After the Cup, there will be a break due to national team obligations, and then the season will continue.
