The Los Angeles Clippers defeated Utah 120:116 in overtime tonight, recording their third consecutive triumph in the American Professional Basketball League (NBA).
Utah led by as much as 20 points (50:30) midway through the second quarter, but the Clippers managed to turn the game around.
The Clippers went on an 11-1 run midway through the fourth quarter and took the lead after a long stretch (103-100). They were unable to hold onto the lead until the end of regulation, and Utah was forced into overtime by Isaiah Collier's free-throw goal.
In overtime, Norman Powell led the Clippers to victory with nine points.
Powell set a season-high with 41 points and three rebounds for the Clippers, James Harden recorded a double-double with 32 points and 10 rebounds, along with seven assists and three steals, while Ben Simmons had 12 points, seven steals and six assists.
Serbian basketball player Bogdan Bogdanović scored seven points for the winning team, along with three steals, two assists and one rebound.
For Utah, Kyle Filipovski (20 rebounds) and Lauri Markkanen (six rebounds) each scored 10 points, while John Collins added 17 points and seven steals.
The Clippers are in sixth place in the Western Conference standings with 31 wins and 23 losses, while Utah is in second-to-last, 14th place, with a score of 13/41.
Dallas defeated Miami 118-113 at home, handing the visitors their fourth straight loss. The Texas team was without eight injured players, including Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson.
Dallas was led to victory by former Partizan basketball player Dante Exum with 27 points, along with four assists, three rebounds and two steals, Max Christie scored 19 points, with five rebounds and an assist each, and Spencer Dinwiddie added one less point, with six assists.
The Florida team was led by Tyler Hiro with 40 points and eight rebounds, Kelel Weir had 17 points and nine steals, while Kyle Anderson recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Serbian basketball player Nikola Jović scored six points, one rebound and one assist for the defeated team. Dallas is in eighth place in the West with 30 wins and 26 losses, while Miami is in ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings with 25 wins from 53 games.
New Orleans defeated Sacramento 140:133 at home after overtime, thus ending a streak of 10 consecutive losses.
The home team was led to victory by CJ McCollum with 43 points (11 in overtime), along with seven rebounds, Trey Murphy was one rebound short of a triple-double (18 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds), while Jose Alvarado had 18 points and eight assists.
Zach LaVine had the best performance for the visiting team with 32 points and 10 assists, Malik Monk added 24 points, nine assists and six rebounds, while Domantas Sabonis achieved a double-double with 22 points and 28 rebounds.
Sacramento is in ninth place in the West with 28 wins and 27 losses, and New Orleans is in last place, 15th, with a score of 13/42.
Golden State defeated Houston 105:98 on the road, with 27 points from Stephen Curry.
Minnesota recorded a home win, beating Oklahoma 116:101, ending the visitors' streak of seven consecutive victories.
