The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 108:102, earning their second win in the last three days in head-to-head matches in the NBA.
Luka Doncic led the Lakers with 29 points, nine assists, six rebounds and two steals. Dalton Knett scored 19 points, LeBron James had 17 points, nine assists and five rebounds, and Dorian Finney-Smith had 11 points. James has now reached the 50.000-point mark in regular season and playoff games.
The team was without injured Austin Reeves and Rui Hatimura, and the Lakers achieved their sixth consecutive victory, or 16th in the last 19 games.
The Los Angeles Clippers were led by Kawhi Leonard with 33 points and 10 rebounds. Chris Dunn added 15 points, James Harden 13 points and eight assists, and Ivica Zubac 12 points and 10 rebounds. Serbian basketball player Bogdan Bogdanović finished the game with 12 points, four rebounds and three assists.
Minnesota defeated Phoenix 116-98 for their third win in nine games. Anthony Edwards led Minnesota with 44 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Donte DiVincenzo scored 24 points and had five steals, and Julius Randle added 20 points and six rebounds, in their first game back after more than a month out due to injury.
Phoenix lost for the 11th time in the last 14 games, and Kevin Durant led the team with 26 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Bradley Beal had 18 points and Devin Booker had 17.
The Oklahoma City Thunder beat San Antonio 146-132 for their third straight win. Jaylen Williams scored a career-high 41 points, had seven assists and six rebounds for the winning team. Shay Gilges-Alexander scored 31 points, eight assists and four rebounds, Cason Wallace had 19, and Andrew Wiggins had 17 points.
Oklahoma is second in the league with 49 wins and 11 losses, behind Cleveland, which has the best record of 50 wins and 10 losses.
For San Antonio, Stephon Castle led the way with 32 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Dearon Fox added 20 points, Jeremy Sohan 17, and Devin Vassell 15 points and five assists.
The New York Knicks defeated Miami 116-112 in overtime for their third consecutive victory. Jaylen Brunson led the Knicks with 31 points, six rebounds and five assists, OG Anunoby scored 23 points, nine rebounds and five assists, and Karl-Anthony Towns had 19 points and 16 rebounds.
For the Miami team, Bam Adebayo scored 30 points, along with seven rebounds and four assists, Tyler Hiro added 22 points and seven assists, and Kelel Ware had 12 points, eight rebounds and six blocks.
In other games, Toronto defeated Orlando 104:102, and New Orleans defeated Utah 128:121. Indiana defeated Chicago 127:112, who played without Nikola Vučević, and Cleveland defeated Portland 133:129 after overtime.
