Podgorica Bemax basketball players are returning to their duties in the NLB Second ABA League after exactly a month - Marko Sekulić's team will play against Bosna in Sarajevo at 20 p.m.
It is more like a match from the 3rd round of the Top 8 phase within Group E, in which Bosnia has a half-hearted record (a win against Helios and a loss against Zlatibor), while Podgorica has two losses in duels with the same rivals.
The match in Sarajevo will be the first away game for Podgorica Bemax in the Top 8 phase.
"We are facing a very difficult and demanding away game. We are playing against Bosna, a team that is among the main candidates for winning the ABA 2 league, which speaks volumes about the task ahead of us. Bosna will be looking for a reaction after the defeat in the ABA2 league and the domestic championship, and they will also be under the leadership of a new coach. On the other hand, it will be a great challenge for our young team, but certainly a great motivation to leave the best possible impression against such a rival," Marko Sekulić, coach of Podgorica Bemax, told the club's website.
As one of the favorites, Bosna is under an imperative, while Podgorica Bemax, after two defeats at home, has the primary goal of promoting as many young players as possible.
"We definitely expect a physically demanding match against the Bosnia team, which is made up of experienced and quality players. It's up to us to give our all and be as focused as possible. Bosnia is certainly the favorite in this match, but we believe in our game plan and I think we can triumph in Sarajevo," emphasized Balša Živanović, playmaker for Podgorica Bemax.
