The third Podgorica derby of the season could significantly affect the standings in the AdmiralBet ABA League.
Buducnost Voli wants to stay at the top, and SC Derby wants to preserve its chances of reaching the playoffs with a possible victory against the "blues" - the stakes are high, certainly much higher for Andrej Žakelj's team, who is calling on the team to "mobilize" before the clash with the "students".
"We had problems this week due to injuries, but that doesn't diminish our desire to win. We need to be more focused than in some previous matches, because SC Derbi is in good form and will know how to punish any lapse in concentration," said Žakelj.
Buducnost shares first place with Partizan, who welcomes Igokea in this round.
"Derby is on an offensive surge, making 15-20 three-pointers per game and is very aggressive on the offensive rebound. So he knows what he wants, but we also have our task - I expect the team to have maximum approach and for the good minutes in the game to last as long as possible," Žakelj noted.
Buducnost won 107:84 in the first part of the season in the ABA League, and was even better in the Montenegrin Cup final when it was 105:104.
The SC Derbi - Buducnost duel is on Saturday at 18 p.m.
