Memphis Grizzlies player Jalen Wells is conscious and able to move his limbs after suffering a very hard fall during a game against Charlotte, which required him to be carried off the court on a stretcher.
Wells (21) broke his right wrist in the fall, which occurred after a clumsy foul by KJ Simpson in a match played on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, reported well-known American Professional Basketball League (NBA) insider, ESPN journalist Shams Charania.
The American guard is a rookie in the NBA, having been selected with the 39th pick in last year's draft. In his first season in the NBA for the Grizzlies, he averaged 10,4 points, while starting in 74 games.
The Grizzlies are fourth in the Western Conference standings with 47 wins and 32 losses, the same as the Los Angeles Clippers, Denver and Golden State.
Memphis recently fired coach Taylor Jenkins and appointed former assistant coach Tuomas Isalo as acting head coach.
