The Red Star basketball team ended the season in the Euroleague, as they lost to Bayern Munich in overtime tonight at the start of the play-offs - 97:93.
Red Star entered the play-in in 10th place in the standings, while Bayern finished the regular season in ninth place.
The most efficient player for the Red Star team was Filip Petrushev with 30 points. Nikola Kalinic added 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists, Nemanja Nedovic scored 13 points, as did Cody Miller-McIntyre, who also recorded eight assists, seven rebounds and three steals.
Devin Booker led Bayern with 21 points. Carsen Edwards added 17 points, Nick Weiler-Bab had 15 points, six rebounds and six assists, while Vladimir Lučić had 13 points, eight rebounds and three steals.
Bayern will play on Friday on the away field against Real, who lost to Paris 81:73 in Madrid tonight, to advance to the quarterfinals.
The French team was led by TJ Shorts with 23 points and nine assists, Nadir Hifi added 15 points, four rebounds and four assists, and Tyson Ward had 11 points and seven rebounds.
Facundo Campazzo was the most efficient player for Real with 17 points, five assists and four rebounds. Gabriel Dek scored 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists, and Mario Hezonja had eight points and seven rebounds.
The Euroleague quarterfinal series is scheduled to begin on April 22nd, while the "Final Four" will be played from May 23rd to 25th in Abu Dhabi.
