Former member of the Board of Directors of the Basketball Association of Montenegro (BAC), Muhamed Bučan, reacted to yesterday's statement by the BAC stating that the sale of official cars was carried out in accordance with the Statute and decisions of the Board of Directors.
The PV portal published information yesterday that two official KSCG cars were sold below cost - one to Dušan Dubljević, brother of the KSCG president Jelena Dubljević, and the other to the general secretary, Darko Ivanović. The text states that Dubljević received a "Škoda Superb" for 8.400 euros, and Ivanović a "Škoda Octavia" for 3.705 euros. The PV portal wrote that everything was done without the decision and knowledge of the Board of Directors, without an assessment of the value of the cars by professional appraisers, without data on the condition of the vehicles, mileage, and that the only offers were submitted by Dubljević and Ivanović.
After that, KSCG reacted and said that everything was done in accordance with the Statute and the decisions of the Board of Directors. They also pointed out that in March this year, an assessment of both vehicles was made by a licensed appraiser, and that the documentation regarding the sale is in the KSCG archives.
After the KSCG announcement, Bučan reacted, who in the meantime resigned as a member of the Board of Directors.
"For the sake of better informing the public and presenting the facts regarding the scandal that occurred in the KSCG, I am obliged to address you as a former member of the Board of Directors of the Basketball Association of Montenegro. Namely, on the day when, according to your statement, the decision was made to sell cars owned by the Association, more precisely when that point was discussed, I was not present, nor did I vote for that point. The Board of Directors is comprised of honorable people who, I am sure, did not vote for this type of sale, but were also deceived by the Secretary General and President of the Association. Gentlemen, I am sure that no one from the Board of Directors voted to hold an internal auction and buy cars at half the price, the brother of the President and the Secretary General of the Association. It is questionable whether you had a quorum when I left the session? I left the Board of Directors of the KSCG due to the non-transparent attitude towards the Board of Directors by the Secretary General and President of the Association," reads the reaction of Muhamed Bučan, now a former member of the Board of Directors of the KSCG, which was published by "Day".
