The "Princes" made the decisive difference in the third quarter.
Monaco was led to victory by Daniel Theis and Mike James with 22 points each and Eli Okobo with 19 points.
The most efficient player for Barcelona was Kevin Panter with 16 points, while Yusuf Fall also stood out with 13 points and 14 rebounds and Dario Brizuela with 13 points.
The series is played to three wins, with the second match on Friday and the host being Monaco again.
Thus, the dominance of the home teams continued at the start of the playoffs, after Fenerbahçe and Panathinaikos took the lead the night before, against Paris and Efes, respectively.
