Fenerbahçe basketball players have advanced to the Euroleague Final Four, after defeating Paris 98:88 (20:18, 26:22, 17:21, 17:19, 18:8) in the third game of the quarterfinal series on the away court tonight.
Fenerbahçe won the quarterfinal series with a 3:0 aggregate score.
The most efficient player for Fenerbahce was Tarik Biberović with 21 points (5/7 three-point shooting). Nigel Hayes-Davies added 18 points, while Serbian national team player Marko Guduric had 14 points, four rebounds and three assists.
TJ Shorts led the Paris team with 29 points, while the only other double-digit scorer was Nadir Hifi with 24 points. Kevarius Hayes added eight points and eight rebounds.
Fenerbahçe will play in the Euroleague semifinals against the winner of the quarterfinal series between Panathinaikos and Efes, in which the score was tied 1:1.
Real Madrid cut the deficit to 2-1 against Olympiacos in the quarterfinal series, after winning 80-72 (28-21, 10-23, 20-12, 22-16) on home soil tonight.
The most efficient player for Real Madrid was Valter Tavares with 15 points. Mario Hezonja and Dzanan Musa added 14 points each, while Facundo Campazzo scored nine points, as did Alberto Abalde, who also recorded six assists and five rebounds.
Olympiacos's most efficient player was Sasha Vezenkov with 21 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Nigel Williams-Goss added 17 points, while Saben Lee scored 11 points.
Nikola Milutinov recorded four points, three rebounds and one assist in 17 minutes of play.
The winner of the series in the Euroleague Final Four semifinals will play against the better team from the duel between Monaco and Barcelona, in which the club from the Principality leads 2:0.
The Euroleague Final Four is scheduled for May 23-25 in Abu Dhabi.
