The president of BC Budućnost Voli, Dragan Bokan, and the rector of the University of Donja Gorica, Veselin Vukotić, signed a cooperation agreement.
As announced by the Podgorica club, this confirms their commitment to the development of basketball players and the improvement of sports education.
"KK Buducnost Voli, as the leading Montenegrin basketball club, improves its team through support for athletes in developing their potential, careers and education," Buducnost emphasized.
As they add, the goal of the cooperation is to carry out joint activities in all teaching areas related to the education of experts in sports, the implementation of national and international projects, as well as the promotion of education in sports and dual careers.
"The agreement includes cooperation in the education of students, competitors from senior first league teams and the national team, according to the proposal of KK Budućnost Voli, and with the consent of UDG," the statement reads.
They emphasized that UDG provides five scholarships for seniors from first-league teams according to the records of the Budućnost Voli Basketball Club, in one academic year, which represents concrete support for athletes in combining high sporting and academic achievements.
"This cooperation is another proof of our commitment to the long-term development of basketball players, not only as athletes but also as individuals who build their future off the court. We support their desire to gain knowledge and believe that this agreement will enable many players to successfully combine sports and education. The agreement with UDG confirms the club's vision as a modern and responsible institution that invests in its people, providing them with opportunities for all-round development. KK Budućnost Voli continues to be a leader in promoting sports, education and sustainable careers in Montenegrin and regional basketball," Bokan emphasized.
