SC Derbija basketball coach Petar Mijović believes that his team managed to be competitive in certain moments of today's ABA League match against Red Star, but that they lost in that duel due to a lack of the necessary energy and aggressiveness - 105:77.

"Congratulations to the Red Star team on an excellent game and victory. I expected the teams of Buducnost, Red Star and Partizan to be 'excited' before the playoffs. We were competitive at certain moments. However, against a motivated opponent of this quality, I think we need a lot more energy, situational awareness and aggressiveness. We were not ready for that today, so Red Star's victory was never in question," Mijović said at a press conference.

Student Center lost to Red Star Belgrade 77:105 on the away field in Belgrade, in the last match of the 27th round of the regional ABA League.

Mijović said that he had a problem with injuries in the team before this match.

"We had a tough game against Mega, which left its mark on some players. (David) Mirković came out with a serious hamstring injury, (Emir) Hadžibegović was out for two months, and (Zoran) Nikolić was questionable before the match. We managed to get them out in such a good condition," he said.

The coach of the Student Center stated that his team is much more inexperienced than last season and that if they win the last round match against Borac from Čačak, he would consider this season successful.

"If someone had offered me 10 or 11 wins, I would have accepted it with open arms. I think this squad is significantly different than it was in previous seasons. It is a much more inexperienced team with two or three slightly more experienced players, Nikolić and Pavlićević. Our goals were to give serious minutes to (Luka) Bogavac, Mirković and (Igor) Drobnjak. We have significantly rejuvenated the team, some wins have eluded us, if we had won one of those games we would have been relieved of the stress of staying in the league. If we beat Borac, we will have the same number of wins as last season and I would rate the season as very successful," said Mijović.

Student Center ranks 11th in the ABA League standings with 10 wins and 19 losses.
