Minnesota defeated Golden State (102:97) last night and took a 2:1 lead in the NBA Western Conference playoff semifinals.
Golden State led entering the final quarter, but Minnesota slowly took control and by the middle of the period, after a 9-0 run, led 86:82. The Warriors came close to 87:84, but McDaniels and Edwards repelled that surge and led Minnesota to victory.
The best player for the visitors was Anthony Edwards with 36 points. Randle had 24 and McDaniels 15 points.
Jimmy Butler was the most efficient player for Golden State with 33 points. Jonathan Cummings finished the game with 30 points.
And Boston defeated New York away (115:93), recovered one break point and reduced the deficit to 2:1 in the Eastern Conference playoff semifinals.
After the first quarter, Boston had a plus 16 (36:20), and in the third quarter the lead increased to plus 31.
The most efficient player was Peyton Pritchard with 23 points. Jayson Tatum finished the match with 22, and Jaylen Brown finished the match with 19 points.
Jaylen Brunson scored 27 points for the Knicks, while Karl-Anthony Towns added 21 points and 15 rebounds.
