Cleveland Cavaliers player Donovan Mitchell missed the second half of Game 109 of the playoff series against Indiana, in which his team was defeated 129:XNUMX, due to a left ankle injury, ESPN reported today.
Cleveland coach Kenny Atkinson said Mitchell will undergo an MRI on Monday, adding that he currently has "no idea" whether his best player will be ready for Game 5 on Tuesday.
Mitchell took the field during halftime to warm up, but felt pain in his left wrist as he was taking a shot. He stopped mid-attempt, ducked, and was soon approached by members of Cleveland's medical team.
He returned to the locker room before the start of the third quarter and did not return to the game.
Mitchell scored 12 points in the first half, shooting 3/11 from the field, including 1/5 for three-pointers. Cleveland was trailing 80:39 at the break.
Before the fourth game, Mitchell was in great form, recording two consecutive games with 40 or more points, something no Cleveland player had managed since LeBron James.
