The semi-finals did not bring drama - SC Derbi defeated Sutjeska with two convincing victories and advanced to the play-off finals of the First A EKO Men's Montenegrin Basketball League.
In the second leg in Nikšić it was 90:76.
"We looked very good for three quarters, and I think the drop in the fourth quarter was the result of my premature substitutions. In any case, we deserved to celebrate, but I would like to congratulate Sutjeska on the entire season in the Montenegrin championship - I hope they will make a quality team because Nikšić deserves it," said Petar Mijović, coach of the "Sudenate".

When it comes to Sutjeska, the club from Nikšić knows that at this point it was playing against a higher quality rival.
""We fell out of the competitive rhythm a little due to the early end of the regular season. Unfortunately, we did not provide better resistance to the SC Derbi team. I wish we did, but that does not diminish our successful season. I would like to congratulate the Derbi team on their excellent basketball throughout the season and in this series. I wish them luck in the finals, and we are turning to the break and the next season," said Boško Bošković, strategist of Sutjeska.
Filip Barović was a key player for Nikšić this season as well.
"A long and difficult season is behind us, there were coach changes, and the primary goal - passing the group in the Second ABA League - was not achieved. Later there were better games, many victories. We achieved the secondary goal and qualified for ABA 2 and reached the playoffs of the domestic championship. We played against a better team, a team that is well-coordinated and has 12 ready players and a deep bench. We came from a difficult two-match match against Primorje that took its toll. Maybe this is a realistic result at the moment," Barović pointed out.
The second semi-final pair consists of Budućnost Voli and Podgorica Bemaks, and the date will be determined at a later date due to the commitments of our largest club in the Admiralbet ABA League.
