Basketball players from the Faculty of Science defended their title of Meridianbet Student League champion.
After winning the decisive trophy match after overtime last season against the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (68:66), PMF defeated the excellent team of the University of Donja Gorica in this year's final, also after a great and even fight - 70:62.
It was uncertain and exciting until the very end, and the winner was decided by Ivan Radović, who hit two three-pointers in the last minute with the score 62:62, thus bringing his team its second championship title in a row. It was Radović who was declared the MVP of the final. The cup was presented to Visoko Pljevljak by Zoran Medenica, president of the Student Sports Association of Montenegro.
The championship cup was awarded to PMF captain Filip Maraš by Zoran Jojić, Director of the Directorate for Sports at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, while the gold medals were presented by Montenegrin national team player and SC Derbija center Zoran Nikolić. The silver medals were presented to the basketball players of the University of Donja Gorica by SC Derbija coach Petar Mijović.
After last year's silver medal, the basketball players of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering won the bronze medal in the Meridianbet Student League of Montenegro this season.
In the match for third place, ETF, thanks to a better game in the second half, defeated the Faculty of Law - 41:31. The "lawyers" were not helped by the great performance of Lazar Bailović, who scored 24 points, while all his other teammates scored only seven in total.
Bronze medals were presented to ETF basketball players by Ivan Jovetić, Dean of the University of Donja Gorica.
