Buducnost Voli is in the semifinals, having defeated Mega and will play against Red Star Belgrade for a place in the final of the AdmiralBet ABA League.
The job was done, but the "blues" coach Andrej Žakelj was partially satisfied after the triumph in Novi Beograd (92:87).
"We knew it would be a tough match. We weren't at the level of the game in Podgorica, and I think we played the second quarter the way we wanted, fast and with good defense. That was kind of the plan and as long as we were focused and played as a team - everything was going well," said Žakelj.
Buducnost had a plus 3 at the start of the 14rd quarter...
"A bad third quarter, especially defensively - we allowed 30 points and that is unacceptable. In the end, we deservedly won the match with quality and composure. I congratulate the boys on the victory and their place in the semifinals, and I have to congratulate Megi on a good season," said Žakelj.
