The NBA will have a new champion - New York defeated Boston (119:81) in the sixth game of the Eastern Conference semifinals, winning the series 4:2, advancing to the conference finals and eliminating the reigning champion.
When Jayson Tatum got injured, it was clear that the Celtics were in for a tough task. Boston managed to cut the series to 3-2 in front of their home fans, but suffered a convincing defeat last night.
New York led from the start, the Knicks did not want to return to Boston, the lead grew, and at halftime it was 27 points - 64:37.
Nothing changed in the third quarter, New York had a 41-point lead at one point (92:51), so the continuation of the match was just a formality.
Anunoby and Branson each scored 23 points for New York. Bridges added 22 and Towns had 21.
On the other side, Brown had 20 points. Pritchard (11) and Horford (10 points) also scored in double figures.
New York will play Indiana in the Eastern Conference finals.
