Confident defeat of Montenegrin women's basketball team against Slovenia

The Montenegrin women's senior basketball team was defeated in Ljubljana, in a control match, by Slovenia 62:42.

A poor third quarter cost the Montenegrin team a more favorable result.

The Montenegrin team made many mistakes and had poor shooting percentages, which Slovenia took advantage of and won that part of the match 21:2 and settled the question of the winner.

The most efficient player in the Montenegrin team was Zorana Radonjić with nine, Bojana Kovačević scored seven, and Jelena Vučetić, Milica Jovanović and Marija Leković scored five each.

The Montenegrin national team is already traveling to Bologna today, where they will play against Italy on Friday in the last test before leaving for Brno, where they will play the group stage of the European Championship.

Montenegrin women's basketball team suffered two defeats against Serbia on Zlatibor during preparations.

They then participated in the Games of the Small Countries of Europe in Andorra, where they won gold, having won four out of five games (against Luxembourg, twice against Cyprus, and over the Andorran team).

The Women's EuroBasket will be played from June 18th to 29th in four countries (Czech Republic, Germany, Italy and Greece), and the Montenegrin national team will play the group stage in Brno, where, in addition to the host Czech Republic, its rivals will be European champion Belgium and the Portuguese national team.

Montenegro will play the Czech Republic at the start of the championship, on June 19th.

A day later they will meet Belgium, while on June 22nd their rival will be Portugal.
