Dejan Radonjić's tenure on the Bahçeşehir bench has ended, and the Montenegrin basketball coach is leaving Istanbul after a year and a half.
Radonjić arrived in Bahçeşehir in December 2023, and played in the final of the FIBA Europe Cup with the team from Istanbul, before reaching the semi-finals of the Eurocup and the Turkish Super League this season.
"I would like to thank everyone - the players, the employees and the club's management. I spent a year and a half here and during that time we raised the club to a certain level. I am very proud of everything we have done. Our cooperation is now ending, we move on, I wish the club all the best in the future," said Radonjić.
Radonjić will be succeeded by Marko Barać, who comes from Mega.
"We have parted ways with head coach Dejan Radonjić, who joined our club in the middle of the 2023/24 season. We thank Dejan Radonjić for his valuable contribution to our club, the Bahçeşehir family and national basketball and wish him success in the next phase of his career," the Turkish club said.
