Željko Obradović celebrated his second trophy in four seasons - since returning to the Partizan basketball bench.
Both were won in the AdmiralBet ABA League, and this one the "black and whites" grabbed over Buducnost Voli - in the fourth match in Belgrade they celebrated 90:75 for 3:1 in the series.
Partizan thus celebrated the 50th cup in the club's history, and Obradović congratulated Buducnost on an excellent season.
"The future played exceptionally well and showed great quality. They couldn't count on McKinley Wright, which had a significant impact on the outcome, but whatever - I think we had great desire and energy and thanks to that we won the title," said Obradović.
At halftime, Partizan was up four points (48:44).
"We broke the game in the 3rd quarter. We had a lot of open shots in the first half, only making four three-pointers out of 19 attempts. When we started scoring, we made a difference by everyone contributing. Each of the players contributed something to winning this title and I congratulate them," the popular Žoc emphasized.
The four games were a true spectacle on the field and in the stands, without any major incidents.
"It has been shown that the ABA League and the finals can go smoothly. I think this is the first time in many years that there were no excesses - everything was as it should be in both Belgrade and Podgorica. These two clubs should be an example that basketball wins through fair play," said Obradović.
