Dragan Bokan, president of Budućnost Voli, announced the government's support yesterday, and today an official confirmation came from Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.
As the Prime Minister wrote on the social network X, the Montenegrin basketball champion will receive 1,5 million euros from the state for the next season.
"Buducnost basketball players rounded off a great season by reaching the finals of the AdmiralBet ABA League, almost crowning it all with a trophy. By the decision of the Government, partners in Buducnost's future championship ambitions will be Monteput and Aerodrom Crne Gore, which will support the club with 1,5 million euros," Spajić announced.
Buducnost was the best team in the ABA League this season, reaching the playoff finals where they were defeated by Partizan 3:1 in the series.
"The next season of the regional competition is a new opportunity for a trophy, so we are eagerly awaiting another basketball year marked by the blue and white team," added Spajić.
Bokan previously announced that he had a constructive meeting with Spajić, who informed him that the state and state-owned enterprises would actively support Budućnost as a club of national importance in the years to come.
