Montenegrin national team player, Vladiimir Mihailović, won the title with Zadar last night, thus crowning an excellent season with the Croatian team.
In the fourth game of the final series, Zadar defeated Split (67:65) in overtime and won the title with a 3:1 series lead. And the decisive triumph for Danijel Jusup's team was achieved thanks to Mihailović, who scored 38 points in 27 minutes.
Mihailović played at a high level during the games with Split, winning the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in the Croatian Championship final series. In the final series, he scored 22, 15, 22, and 27 points, respectively.
This is the second individual recognition for Mihailović this season, as he previously received the award for the best scorer in the Croatian league.
Mihailović arrived in Zadar from Budućnost Voli on the eve of this season and was one of the team's leaders.
Zadar has won three championship titles for the first time in history.
