Indiana is facing its final defeat - Oklahoma is one win away from its first NBA championship in history, and the sixth game of the final series is scheduled for Thursday night (2.30:XNUMX a.m.).
The Pacers are the hosts of game six, looking to tie the game at 3:3, and their chances largely depend on whether Tyrese Halliburton is ready.
"The final decision on his performance will be made just before the start of the game, but we have to be prepared for the scenario that he doesn't play," said coach Rick Carlisle.
Halliburton has a right calf injury, but he played 34 minutes and no points in game five, and Carlisle pointed out that Tyrese asked to play despite the pain in the second half of that game.
"This is the NBA Finals. I've worked my whole life to get here and I want to be on the court, to help my teammates in any way I can. I wasn't good in Game 5, but it never occurs to me not to play in a situation like this. If I can walk, I can play," Halliburton said.
Whether Halliburton plays or not, TJ McConnell is expected to play a larger role.
"Depending on the situation, we may have to give him more minutes," said Carlisle.
