Legendary Serbian basketball player Vlade Divac underwent surgery after a car accident he suffered in Montenegro on Thursday.
Divac underwent hip surgery after falling from a motorbike near Luštica, Nova reported today.
Nova stated that Divac is in stable condition and that no complications are expected.
Divac's playing career lasted from 1983 to 2005. He began his career with Sloga Kraljevo, and then played for Partizan, from where he went to the NBA, where he played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Charlotte and Sacramento. During the 1999 NBA lockout, he also played two games for Crvena Zvezda.
With the senior Yugoslav national team, he won a total of 11 medals, including gold medals from the 1990 and 2002 World Championships, as well as the 1989, 1991 and 1995 European Championships.
