Another game awaits the Montenegrin women's basketball team at Eurobasket.
After convincing defeats against the Czech Republic and Belgium, the match with Portugal has no significance in terms of results, but it is far from being unimportant for our women's basketball team.
The match against the debutant at the European Championships is on Sunday at 20.15:XNUMX p.m.
"The match with Portugal means a lot to us, and the fact is that it won't be easy. It's obvious that Portugal is quite physically strong and aggressive and we'll have to respond to that. They're a team that attacks the ball for the entire 40 minutes," said coach Jelena Škerović.
The recipe for triumph is to repeat the game from most of the duel with the Belgians.
"The girls need to believe that they can win, and they proved in one part of the match that they can handle the European champions. I expect us to repeat that against Portugal. As they say here: it will be a game of "blood and knife" - Portugal wants its first victory at the European Championships, and we are weakened and with a young team we are looking for satisfaction in everything we have done this summer," Škerović pointed out.
