Montenegrin basketball did not get a new head coach today, because the Electoral Assembly of the Basketball Association of Montenegro was not even held.
As announced by the KSCG, the reason was the lack of the necessary quorum.
"Out of the total number of delegates (90), 38 delegates were present, and the minimum necessary for the work of the KSCG Assembly is 46 delegates," the KSCG said.
The only candidate for president of the Montenegrin basketball house was Dragan Kadić.
His candidacy was supported by 15 clubs with 24 voting delegates, the Federation announced earlier. Before that, the PR center announced that Kadić had the support of 30 Montenegrin clubs.
Then information emerged that Dragan Bokan, president of Budućnost Voli, was close to deciding to run for president of the Basketball Association of Montenegro.
However, nothing came of that - for now. And, as "Vijesti" has learned, the clubs he heads (along with Budućnost and SC Derbi) did not attend today's Assembly.
All of this could mean that Kadić clearly does not have enough support, and that the first man of Buducnost could soon take over Montenegrin basketball.
The previous president of the KSCG was Jelena Dubljević, who held that position from November 2023 until the end of April, when she resigned.
