The owner of the Hapoel Tel Aviv basketball club, Ofer Yanai, stated that his club is interested in being a member of the AdmiralABA League in the upcoming season, but that the competition requires him to commit to three years of participation.
"We are currently interested in participating in the ABA League this year, but they are asking us to commit for three years," Janaj told Mozart Sport.
Janaj also said that Partizan supports Hapoel's potential participation in the ABA League, while Red Star is against it.
Hapoel won the Eurocup title in the recently concluded season, thus securing a place in the Euroleague.
Three Euroleague teams already play in the ABA League - Partizan, Red Star Belgrade and Dubai, which joined this regional competition before the start of the 2024/25 season.
