"Students" playmaker Igor Drobnjak signed for Spartak Subotica.
He averaged 7,1 points and 1,8 assists in the AdmiralBet ABA League last season with SC Derby, but the "students" failed to reach the regional league playoffs and had a record of 11 wins and 19 losses.
Spartak, on the other hand, played in the quarterfinals of the playoffs where they were stopped by the champions, Partizan, and in the Serbian championship they eliminated Red Star in the semifinals, but were defeated in the final series by the "black and whites"
Drobnjak started out at Buducnost Voli. In September 2016, he moved to Mega, where he remained in the junior team for the next two seasons. He also participated in the Euroleague Juniors tournament with Mega in both seasons. In August 2018, he returned to Buducnost, where he began his senior career.
During the 2020/2021 season, he played for SC Derbi and was one of the most important players on the team that won the Second ABA League. In early July 2021, he again wore the jersey of Buducnost, with whom he signed a three-year contract, but returned to SC Derbi before the 2023/2024 season.
Drobnjak is a Montenegrin national team member and played at EuroBasket 2022 and at WorldBasket a year later.
