Montenegrin national team player Aleksa Ilić is a new member of SC Derbija, the Podgorica basketball club announced.
It will be his return to SC Derby, whose jersey he wore in the 2021/22 season.
Ilić began his career in Sutjeska, and since 2015 he has been a member of Budućnost Voli.
"A well-known face in our club, so there are no unknowns in his game and the contribution he brings with him. A great athlete, with excellent reflexes, known for both monstrous dunks and attractive blocks from the other side. He has an excellent sense of rebounding, so he will certainly bring an additional level of racket protection," SC Derbij said in a statement.
He is the fourth signing for the Podgorica club, after American guard Justin Turner from Anvil, Darius Johnson, a point guard from the College of Central Florida (UCF), and Balša Živanović.
This season, in addition to appearing in domestic competitions and the AdmiralBet ABA League, SC Derby is also making its debut on the European stage - it will play in the FIBA Champions League qualifiers.
