The young men's national basketball team of Montenegro was defeated today by Ireland 70:47 and finished the competition in third place in Group B of the European Championship B Division in Yerevan.
Montenegrin basketball players missed out on the quarterfinals and will continue the championship playing for ninth to 16th place.
In the deciding match to advance to the quarterfinals, Montenegro could not match Ireland, which dominated from the start.
At the end of the first quarter it was 18:7, and at halftime it was 38:16.
The only player in double figures on the Montenegrin team was Milorad Brajović with 12 points, Marko Radunović added eight, Luka Đurović and Stefan Perović six each.
The competition at the European B Championship will continue on Friday.
