The Clutchpoints portal writes that the Lakers are preparing to make a shocking move and pair Luka Dončić with Nikola Jokić or Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The LeBron-Lakers saga is likely coming to an end soon, and the franchise is ready to make a big move. First, they will extend Doncic's contract, and once that is secured, they will start convincing another NBA star to be traded to Los Angeles. The Lakers are also starting to make room in their cap space to bring in Jokic or Giannis.
What are the situations of these two?
Nikola Jokić has a contract for two more seasons, he can voluntarily extend it for another one, and he is not expected to consider a new contract before the summer of 2026. The Nuggets have made a number of moves this year that have most likely pleased Nikola because he finally has a bench and substitutes with whom he can attack a new ring.
Giannis Antetokounmpo has the same contract as Jokić. The Greek recently said that he is happy in Milwaukee. Even the franchise does not believe that a parting could happen, but somehow the stories about a trade for Antetokounmpo are quite frequent.
