The Montenegrin junior basketball team defeated Croatia 85:80 in the second round of Group D of the European Championship in Romania.
This is the second triumph of the Montenegrin juniors at the championship, after they celebrated against Norway 92:73 at the start.
By halftime, the Montenegrin juniors had a 59:36 lead and seemed to have resolved all dilemmas.
Croatia returned to the game and reduced the deficit to just four points with three minutes left (79:75).
Danilo Nikezić's three-pointer followed, and the winner was decided by Đorđe Đukanović, with a precise three-pointer for an 85:77 lead.
Đukanović was the most efficient with 19 points. Đorđe Gulić scored 17, Vladimir Komnenović 16, and Maksim Brnović scored one point less.
Montenegro will play against the Netherlands in the third round on Tuesday (19.30:XNUMX PM).
