After Aleksa Bulajić, Petar Minić, Danilo Ivanović and Lazar Radetić, Dušan Mahorčić is the fifth signing for Podgorica Bemax for the new season.
Mahorčić (born 1998, 208cm) plays at the power forward and center positions, and comes to Podgorica from the Cypriot team Enosis Neon Paralimni. Last season, he made 23 appearances in the league there, scoring 351 points and grabbing 289 rebounds, or an average of 15,3 points and 13 steals.
"According to the new coach Miodrag Kadija, I will probably be the oldest player on the team, so I am very excited to be a leader like I have been at all the schools and teams where I have played," Mahorčić told the club's website.
"I think that both I and Podgorica will have a great year. I am glad that I will be back in Montenegro with my family and the people I know, and therefore I believe that this will be a good springboard in my career. Through a conversation with the coach, I realized that I will have a big role in the team, so it would not surprise me if I had numbers like these in Cyprus," concluded the new center of Podgorica.
Last season in Cyprus was the 27-year-old basketball player's first professional season, as he previously built his career at colleges in the United States. He graduated from Utah College.
