The Turkish national basketball team defeated the Latvian team 93:73 (24:21, 23:18, 25:16, 21:18) today in Riga, in the first round match of Group A at the European Championship.
The most efficient player for the Turkish national team was Cedi Osman with 20 points. Kenan Sipahi added 19 points, Alperen Sengun scored 16 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, while Shane Larkin recorded 15 points and six rebounds.
When selected for Latvia, Rihards Lomažs scored 16 points. Artus Jagar scored 11 points, followed by Kristaps Porzingis and Roland Schmidt with 10 points each.
The Turkish national team will play against the Czech Republic in the next round of Group A, which also includes the Serbian national team, while Latvia will face Estonia.
