The Montenegrin national basketball team will play tomorrow (12:30) in Tampere against Sweden in the fourth round of Group B of the EuroBasket.
It will be a duel with a direct rival for a place in the next round of the competition.
Montenegro is winless after three rounds, while Sweden's only triumph came against Great Britain.
Point guard Igor Drobnjak said it would be difficult after three convincing defeats.
"The reality is that they were better opponents than us, but it is certainly true that we had to play better in all three games – with more energy, more focus, fewer mistakes. But what is there is, as I said, today is a recovery day. We will try to recover as best as possible, to prepare for tomorrow. Basically, those are two games and the chance we are looking for," said Drobnjak.
He said that the Swedish team's game is reminiscent of Finland's and that he expects a lot of chasing and running.
"That's what we've had so far. This group is such that there's no opponent we can say will be an easier game, but we're certainly ready for it and we'll do our best to be better than in the first three games," said Drobnjak.
Montenegro will be weakened in the duel with Sweden by the absence of the injured Zoran Nikolić, for whom the championship is over.
"It's really difficult, especially because of the rhythm of the championship itself, which is very demanding, especially now that we've had two games tied. But somehow we were aware of that from the beginning - we had a lot of minutes in the warm-up games and we prepared for it," concluded Drobnjak.
