Adis Bećiragić's team silenced the "Spiros Kyprianou Arena" in Limassol, or rather "set fire" to the part where a large number of its fans were - Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Greece in the 4th round of EuroBasket (80:77).
NBA ace Jusuf Nurkić (18 points, 10 rebounds) and point guard John Robertson (18 points) led BiH to a sensational triumph. Former Buducnost players also made great contributions - above all Edin Atić with 15 points and eight rebounds, Kenan Kamenjaš (seven points, six rebounds) and Aleksandar Lazić (seven points).
It seemed that Greece, one of the tournament favorites, would continue its winning streak against a team that traveled to EuroBasket without Dzhanan Musa, especially when they were up 13 points in the second quarter (34:21).
However, a "crazy" series by Bosnia and Herzegovina followed, leading 44:38 at halftime, then 69:55, and with four minutes left, Lazić scored a point and made it 74:62.
Greece didn't give up, they came close to 74:69, but it was obvious that this wasn't their day, but rather the phenomenal Bosnia and Herzegovina's. Nurkić blocked another attack and our neighbors' celebration could begin...
In the losing team, Kostas Slukas scored 15 points and eight assists, while Tyler Dorsey added 14 rebounds.
Bosnia and Herzegovina thus achieved its second triumph at EuroBasket, but the "final" for advancing from the group awaits them in the last round against Georgia, led by Aleksandar Džikić.
Greece has complicated its situation with this defeat, more precisely, if it defeats Spain in the last round in the derby, it will definitely be the winner of the group, while a defeat could also cause it to lose the top two spots.
