Barcelona without Brizuela for a while, the Spaniard was injured at Eurobasket

Barcelona basketball player Dario Brizuela has suffered a hamstring injury, the Spanish club announced today.

"Dario Brizuela returned from the European Championship with an overload in the hamstring of his right leg, as determined by tests carried out at the Medical Service," Barcelona said in a statement.

The Spanish defender will miss the friendly match against Girona, scheduled for Friday, while the development of the injury will determine the recovery time.

The Spanish national team was eliminated in the group stage of this year's European Championship, where Brizuela averaged 8,2 points, 2,8 assists and 1,4 rebounds.

Brizuela (30) has been a member of Barcelona since 2023, for whom he averaged 10 points per game in the Euroleague last season, with 46 percent three-point shooting.
