After a turbulent few months, the departure of Jelena Dubljević, the failed first Electoral Council and finally the great support for the new president Dragan Bokan, a new era of the Basketball Association of Montenegro began yesterday.
It was made official by the Constitutive Session of the Board of Directors, which was held in Podgorica, with Bokan at the helm.
The KSCG announced which items were on the agenda, but so far there has been no discussion about the status of the women's and men's national team coaches after the failure at the European Championships this summer.
"At the first session chaired by Dragan Bokan since his election as president of the KSCG with new members of the Board of Directors, reports on the competition for all leagues organized by the Federation in the previous season were adopted," the Federation announced.
They add that the Board of Directors also adopted the report of the President of the Referees' Commission for the last season, as well as the list of referees and delegates for the 2025/26 season.
"The competition regulations for the next season have been adopted and the Referee, Registration, Competition and Disciplinary Committees for 2025/26 have been formed," the statement reads.
It is concluded that the current financial situation in KSCG was also discussed at the meeting.
The first man of Budućnost Voli will lead our basketball for the next four years, and he was elected president in July at the Extraordinary Election Session of the Assembly of the Serbian Basketball Federation.
After Dragan Kadić's unsuccessful candidacy (there was no quorum), 66 out of 68 delegates present voted for Bokan.
Bokan succeeded Jelena Dubljević at the helm of our basketball house, who served as president from November 2023 until April of this year, when she resigned.
