Saša Obradović, the legendary Red Star basketball player, has become the coach of the "red and whites" for the second time in his career.
The former Buducnost player succeeded Giannis Sferopoulos on the Belgrade bench, who was dismissed on Wednesday after three defeats in as many matches at the start of the season.
Red Star achieved its first triumph last night, defeating Fenerbahçe in Istanbul in the 3rd round of the Euroleague, and the team was led in that match by coaching staff member Tomislav Tomović.
"A new beginning, the same goals, new energy," the red and whites wrote on social media.
Obradović led Red Star in 2020, and after that he had notable results with Monaco.
He will make his second debut on the Red Star bench on Tuesday when Zalgiris arrives at the Belgrade Arena in the 4th round of the Euroleague.
