The basketball club does not forget the legend, a man who is remembered as part of the team that brought the people of Podgorica into the First League of Yugoslavia in the early 1980s.
The "blues" match against Cedevita Olimpija, which started at 20 p.m., had an overture as Buducnost paid tribute to Nikola Antic, a player who marked an era of pride for the capital.
Antic wore the Buducnost jersey for 13 seasons and was a member of the first generation of five that introduced the club to the First League more than 40 years ago.
After Duško Ivanovic, he was the team's top scorer, and he was also part of the team that played the first European match in the club's history because in the 2002/2003 season he worked on the coaching staff when Vlade Đurović was on the bench.
Antic's coaching career was tied to France.
