The basketball season is slowly heating up, and the new season of the Second ABA League - a competition in which four Montenegrin teams also participate - opened with the first round, which was played in the middle of last week and this week.
First, Sutjeska and Podgorica took to the court seven days ago, and this time, Mornar and debutant Primorje also took to the court - in both cases, the performance of our representatives was half-hearted.
The team from Nikšić defeated Široki away (87:77), the team from the capital was dramatically defeated by Borac from Banja Luka, and then last night Mornar achieved a triumph by beating Student (83:69), while Primorje was nowhere near a miracle away from Vojvodina (99:82).
The team from Bar, a regular participant in the ABA League until this season, was led to victory by Nemanja Vranješ with 22 points, Alston Mason with 20 and Petar Krivokapić with 16.
When it comes to the club from Herceg Novi, in the first ABA match in Primorje's history, Aleksandar Danilović stood out with 26 points and 10 rebounds, as well as Nikola Rakočević with 21 points.
In the second round, Podgorica will host Sloboda from Tuzla (Tuesday, 18pm), Sutjeska will host MZT (Wednesday, 20pm), while Mornar will be the guest of Jahorina on October 29th, and Primorje will host Radnički on November 1st.
