The second round of the First A Montenegrin Basketball League brought even more exciting games than at the start, out of six Saturday matches, five were won by the guests, and two duels ended in overtime.

Podgorica Bemax is still without a triumph, because after losing to Lovćen in Cetinje, they also lost to Kotor at home - 74:69, after overtime.

The team from Kotor showed potential even at the start in their defeat to Sutjeska, when they managed to reduce a 21-point deficit to just five points with a furious finish. In the second match in a row with a team from the ABA 2 league, they were outplayed from the start – the rivals exchanged the lead throughout the game, and no one had more than six points in excess.

The final score of the regular period was one possession, when Stefan Adžić for Podgorica hit a three-pointer to tie the game with 14 seconds left and take the match into the extra five minutes.

Coach Miodrag Kadija's team then took a 69:64 lead, but with four minutes left, they failed to score a single point, so Kotor won their first victory of the season with a 10:0 series. They were led by American Aaron Johnson Cash, who played all 45 minutes of the game, with 20 points and 16 rebounds, Vasilija Jovanović scored 14 points. Danilo Ivanović was the most efficient player for the home team with 20 points and 7 assists.

Primorje achieved their second victory at the start, defeating SC Derbi away 80:72. The team from Novi Sad led for most of the match, and in the second half by a double-digit margin, so they did not allow an uncertain ending.

Aleksandar Danilović led the winning team with 21 points and 7 rebounds, and for the "students", who are playing the domestic championship with a young squad, the most efficient player was Lazar Rakočević with 14 points.

Lovćen also recorded its second triumph, this time away from home against Ulcinj 78:67. Just like last weekend in the victory over Podgorica, Cetinje was led by Milutin Đukanović with 31 points and six assists, followed by American Perkins with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

It was the first match of the season for the team from Ulcinj, but apart from a good opening with 14:4, they were unable to threaten the guests in the rest of the game.

Sutjeska Elektroprivreda was convincing against Danilovgrad, 97:64, and justified its role as the favorite at the start of the championship, with both victories.

For Sutjeska, Slobodan Miljanić had 17 points. Andrija Vučurović and Krist Martin had 16 each, and Goran Gajović had 10 points. For the home team, Pavle Mugoša scored 16 points.

The fourth team with both wins at the start is Jedinstvo – against Vukovi Zeta it was 97:95 for the team from Bjelopolje after overtime. Both teams could have won, when Miloš Popović hit one of two free throws for the visitors with nine seconds left.

And after five more minutes, it all came down to one possession, until Lazar Vukčević scored with one second left and the victory went to the guests.

Miloš Popović dominated with 28 points and 16 rebounds, Nemanja Knežević scored 20 points. Marko Raičević was the most efficient player for Vukovi Zeta with 20 points.

The only match on Saturday's program in which the home team won was seen in Tivat, where Teodo achieved his first victory and Dečić recorded his second defeat – it was 99:88.

Tuzani briefly led in the first quarter, but Teodo reached a double-digit lead in the second and then controlled the game until the end.

The Tivat team had more motivated players, and the Americans stood out – Turner with 23 and Cool with 20 points. Bogdan Cebalovic was impressive for Decic with 34 points and 14 rebounds. Marko Koljevic had 27 points and seven rebounds and assists.

The last match of the second round will be played on Monday between Ibar and Mornar Barsko Zlato, starting at 18 p.m.
