Sutjeska basketball players play against MZT tonight (20) in the second round of the ABA2 league in Nikšić.
The team from Nikšić defeated Široki at the start of the regional competition, and then in the domestic championship they were better than Kotor and Danilovgrad.
"Finally, we're going to have our first game at home. We want to go into every game with a win, and that's what it will be like against MZT. We're facing a very good, experienced team, projected to be at the top of the ABA2 league, with the desire to advance to the AdmiralBet ABA league. But we also have some of our own wishes and dreams," said Sutjeska coach Marko Simonović in the match announcement.
Simonović hopes for the support of the fans.
"On this occasion, I would like to invite fans, people who love basketball and the club, to come and support us. To watch a new Sutjeska, to watch the guys play and fight. Every person would be important to us in the hall," said Simonović.
Goran Gajović returned to Nikšić this season. He hopes to win the first home match of the season.
"I hope that all basketball fans will come to support us towards another victory. We are expecting the first game of the season on our court. This is our home court – we have to defend our home court. MZT is coming as a guest, a good team, made up of many experienced Macedonian players. They also have Americans. We have to enter the game focused, aggressive from the start, if we want to win," said Goran Gajović.
MZT defeated Vršac in the first round.
"We are facing a tough match against a quality and experienced team. Away games in Nikšić are always a challenge, the Nikšić crowd knows basketball, and the atmosphere is always hot. We will do our best to win this match," said MZT coach Vasko Atanasov.
