The Bemaxa women's basketball team, Buducnost, will host Partizan tomorrow (18pm) at the Bemax Arena in the fourth round of the WABA League.
The Belgrade team recorded three victories in the previous three rounds, defeating Orlovi, Zagreb and Celje, clearly showing their great ambitions. On the other hand, the "wolves", who had a bye in the first round, defeated Rilski in Podgorica, and then suffered a defeat in Montana.
"We are facing a match against Partizan, who have had a great start to the season, achieved three wins and are therefore certainly very motivated to show their current form. You can clearly see the hand of experienced coach Popov and their system where everyone knows what they are doing. That is why we are aware that we have a big challenge ahead of us. On the other hand, we had time to recover from the long trip and the defeat in Montana, so I expect us to react and be in the game for the entire 40 minutes with as few oscillations as possible and to play a solid and quality match," said Budućnost coach Petar Stojanović.
It is clear that the Podgorica team has a tough job ahead of them, because Partizan has created a team capable of achieving great things by hiring Blaža Čeh from Celje, two foreign players, and several domestic players.
"It won't be easy, but we will try to defend our home field. We are aware that Partizan has built an exceptionally high-quality team, but we believe in ourselves and I am sure that after the defeat in Montana we will react," said first-team player Nikolina Ilić from Podgorica.
