History was made in Herceg Novi tonight - Primorje recorded their first victory in this competition in their first home match in the ABA2 League.
The team from Novi Sad defeated Radnički from Kragujevac (96:76) in the second round of the ABA2 league at SC "Igalo" and achieved their first triumph this season, and also their first in history in the regional competition, after losing to Vojvodina in the previous round in Novi Sad.
Primorje is participating in the ABA2 league for the first time, and got the opportunity after Teodo withdrew from the competition this summer.
Primorje led from the start, it was 9:0 at the start, but the guests tied the score at the end of the first quarter - 17:17.
After that, everything was in the hands of the home team - Primorje gained a double-digit lead for the first time in the middle of the second quarter (37:27), and after 20 minutes had a big 20-point lead - 53:33.
Primorje basketball player Nikola Rakočević was brilliant in the first half, scoring 20 points in 20 minutes, without a miss.
Aleksandar Danilović and Ognjen Mićović excelled in the second half, and Primorje's lead reached 34 points (93:59).
Danilović finished the match with 28 points and six rebounds. Rakočević had 23 points, and Mićović had 17 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists.
Green was the most efficient player for Radnicki with 16 points.
Primorje will welcome Široki in the next round, while Radnički will host Sutjeska.
