Sutjeska and Primorje continued their series, Teodo celebrated against Mornar, Podgorica's first victory

Five games of the fourth round of the First Montenegrin Basketball League were played today, and Sutjeska Elektroprivreda and Primorje maintained their maximum performance. Podgorica Bemax achieved their first victory of the season, as did Ibar, and Teodo inflicted the first defeat on the Mornar Barski Zlat team.

Sutjeska recorded their fourth triumph away to Ulcinj, a team that has yet to taste the sweetness of victory - 83:75. The team from Nikšić is undefeated in all competitions this season (six wins in total), and this time they turned the game around in the second quarter, when they reached a 17-point advantage, and had a big 15-point lead at halftime (40:25).

When they reached an unattainable 21-point lead after the third quarter, they slowed down a bit, and Ulcinj only managed to soften the defeat until the end.

"It was a good game and quite tough, I don't think the result shows the real situation on the field. I wish Ulcinj the best of luck and I think they will get better and better as the season progresses," said Sutjeska coach Marko Simonović.

Goran Gajović was the most efficient player for Sutjeska with 18 points, four rebounds and five assists, while in Ulcinj Gojko Radulović scored 29 points, 15 of which were from the free throw line.

"We showed character in the second half, fighting spirit and desire and I have nothing to fault my players for. I congratulate Sutjeska on their well-deserved victory. In the first round, we had really strong opponents and maybe this is not a realistic picture, I think we can do much more. We also need to get better at it, because we started preparations late. Time will tell, but I believe in these guys," emphasized Ulcinj coach Darko Vujačić.

Primorje followed up their first triumph in the ABA 2 league with another victory in the domestic championship, over Dečić - 97:88. The team from Novi Sad, similar to Sutjeska, reached a double-digit lead in the second quarter and controlled the game without any problems until the end.

Five home players had double-digit performances, with Novak Peković the most efficient with 24 points. Aleksandar Bulatović had 26 points for Dečić, and Bogdan Cebalović had 23 points and eight rebounds.

Teodo achieved a half-hearted performance after four rounds, by inflicting Mornar's first defeat – in Tivat it was 83:71. Barani squandered a 10-point lead in the first half of the match, so it was tied at halftime – 34:34.

Teodo then played a furious third quarter, which he won 31:19, after which Mornar did not have the strength to come back.

The hosts were led by the Americans – Jaden Turner scored 21 points and Tariq Cool had 17. For the Bears, Christopher Austin scored 19 points and Petar Krivokapić had 17.

Podgorica achieved its first victory of the season in this round, away to Danilovgrad - 89:71. The ABA 2 League participant was able to distribute the minutes more evenly this time, and ultimately the points, because the triumph was never in question.

Seven visiting players had double-digit performances, with Šorak leading the way with 12 points. Bulajić finished the match with 11 points.

For Danilovgrad, Pavle Mugoša scored 19 points, Aleksandar Pješčić scored 18.

Ibar also celebrated its first victory, on its home court against Kotor, convincingly 77:57. Austin Brown was the best with 17 points and five rebounds, and in Kotor, Novak Obradović scored 14.

Jedinstvo, who will be visiting SC Derbi on Sunday (17pm), could also maintain their maximum performance after this round, as well as Lovćen, who will play against Vukovi Zeta in Golubovci two hours later.
